Dessert & Drink Pairing

Coffee and dessert usually exist on their own.

We built this event so they don't, so the flavor in the cup carries straight through to the plate, and back again. Created in collaboration with a pastry chef and our head barista. Four pairs, each one a complete idea:

  • Mont Blanc [ cold brew, oat milk foam, orange juice, vanilla syrup ] paired with Canelé [ vanilla, dark rum, grapefruit zest ].
    The orange in the cup meets the grapefruit on the plate. Vanilla holds both ends together.
  • V60 [ filter coffee, your choice of a calmer profile or something fermented ] paired with Blue cheese financier with pecan.
    The one pairing that shouldn't work. It does.
  • Oat milk cappuccino paired with Banana, miso, black sesame cookie.
    Milk softens miso's edge. Sesame keeps it from getting too sweet.
  • Iced matcha with mango purée and mango foam paired with Coconut mousse cake with strawberry jam.
    Bitter, fruit, cream.
