Ethiopia Gerba Dogo – Cold Brew Recipe

Flavor Profile:

This coffee from the Gerba region of Southern Ethiopia typically features bright jasmine aromatics, tropical fruit sweetness, and notes of peach, apricot, citrus, and berries, with gentle acidity and a clean finish.

As a cold brew, it becomes a refreshing, sweet, and highly aromatic drink.

Brew Parameters (for ~600 ml of finished drink):

Coffee — 40 g

Water (cold or room temperature) — 600 g

Ratio — 1:15

Grind size — coarse (similar to sea salt)

Brew time — 14–16 hours

Method — immersion (in a jar, French press, or cold brew bottle)

Cezve (Turkish Coffee)

Ultra-fine, powdery grind — ideal for traditional cezve/ibrik brewing. Creates a rich, intense cup with velvety texture.

FRESHLY ROASTED COFFEE

We pay close attention to the flavor potential of the beans. Therefore, we roast coffee twice a week to ensure that only freshly roasted beans reach your home.

How to keep

In a sealed bag at room temperature, coffee can be stored for up to 12 months.

After opening the package, we recommend consuming the coffee within 2 weeks and grinding it just before brewing.
